WEST PALM BEACH, Florida. A Florida man accused of the murder of the body of a woman who was strangled and was found on a highway in the past three years is suspected of killing three more women across the State in the mid-2000s, police have announced on Monday.
Palm Beach County sheriffs’ deputies have arrested Robert Hayes on Sunday for the brutal killing of Rachel Bay, whose body was discovered in the past three years by a passing motorist on the roadway. The judge refused his bail in a brief session on Monday.
The court documents show that the 32-year-old Bey had been a prostitute and her jaw as well as several teeth were damaged in the hands of her murderer. While Hayes 37, was not indicted with murder in Daytona Beach, police said during a press conference Monday that Hayes was suspected of murdering three women between 2005 and 2006.
“We believe the serial killer was killed on the street. We’ll be looking for any additional victims, “said Palm Beach Sheriff Captain Michael Wallace. The captain said that investigators will focus upon the gaps between the murders that took place in Daytona Beach in 2005 and 2006, and Beyonce’s death 10 years after her death.
“If we didn’t have placed this man in jail then he could have done the same thing again, and we’d have another victim” stated Palm Beach Sheriff Rick Bradshaw.
