On Tuesday, police were able to stop an St. Augustine man after trying to board a plane to Pennsylvania in the direction of Orlando Sanford International Airport with an unproven grenade and real rocket launcher, which was disassembled.
The bag of the man set off an alarms at Lehigh Valley International Airport as it passed through security of the TSA’s baggage system, TSA said in a press announcement.
The bag included the barrel of an weapon as well as a scope, trigger, and grenade. However, officials concluded that the grenade had been a precise replica and that the grenade launcher didn’t work, TSA spokesman Lisa Farbstein posted on Twitter.
