DAYTONA BEACH (Florida). Television footage was released by authorities showing an unusual incident where a naked man was taken into custody at a Florida Airport. He then claimed that a bomb was planted in his bathroom.

Video footage shows officers searching for the suspect in the baggage claim area of Daytona Beach International Airport at 6:06 a.m. on Friday. The suspect jumped on to the baggage claim carousel, and the police told him to lie down.

After the man refused to obey the police’s warnings, he was shocked with an electric shock.

The video shows a man telling officers that he had taken Molly’s drug.

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood stated that the suspect told MPs later that there was a bomb inside the building and said, “We need to get out of here or the bomb will go off.” The bomb was placed in the bathroom. This comment was not heard in the video leaked.

Investigators discovered a wall under the construction of the women’s bathroom. It appears that it had been dug in. The suspect’s clothes were found in a bag by a group of sappers, which was not explosively contaminated.

Chitwood identified the suspect to be 25-year old John T. Greenwood. He is a “frequent flyer” who is well-known to Daytona Beach law officers. Greenwood was charged with assaulting an officer in 2007. Greenwood also faces seven charges of robbing his home and car. Chitwood claims that Greenwood has been forced to undergo psychiatric screening under the Baker Act twice.

Greenwood was taken to hospital and charged with false reporting of planting bombs, burglary, criminal injury, resisting arrest and exposure of genitals.

Jay Cassens, an airport spokesperson, stated that approximately 225 passengers were temporarily relocated during searches at the airport. The airport was reopened the following day.
