LISBURGH (FOX 35 ORLANDO), FL – On Monday, a 62-year old man donated 100 gallons of blood.

OneBlood reported Monday that David Williams, 62, donated his 100th gallon blood at the OneBlood Lessburg Donor Center. For 22 years, he has donated platelets and has helped to change the lives of many people.

Williams is an experienced mechanic but still makes time to donate blood every other week. OneBlood stated that Williams spends approximately two hours per day in the donor chair.

Williams donated platelets that are believed to have been infused into patients over five days. Many recipients are patients with cancer whose blood transfusions have helped them to survive cancer treatment.
