MELBOURNE, Florida. Authorities claim this Florida man was remanded to prison just a few days after his release because of not paying the taxi driver that took the prisoner home.

Florida Today reports that 40-year-old Charles Falk was arrested Thursday morning , on charges of petty theft.

Melbourne police claim that Falk took a taxi to the Brevard County jail complex in Cocoa just after midnight. After driving for 30 miles (50 kilometers) to his home in Melbourne, Falk told the driver that neither his roommate or sister could pay for the fare of $70. The driver contacted the police.

Folk was imprisoned for the act of hooliganism. The authorities say he was found guilty of securing his house and damaging the roommate’s possessions.

Folk was detained on bail of $2,000. Prison records do not contain the name of a lawyer.
