The manwho said to police he was planning to “take the trip back in time” was able to crash the Dodge Challenger into a mall along the North Davis Highway in Pensacola in the last week.
The vehicle travelled through traffic light located at the crossroads between North Davis Highway and West Fairfield Drive around 10:00 a.m. and then travelled through the main entryway of Advance Tax Services. The vehicle sped through the middle of the building before stopping in front of the double doors that are located at the back of the building.
The driver who was not identified was not hurt, but taken to the local clinic for a medical examination. There are no charges yet issued, according to the Pensacola Police Department press release.
Sergeant. Marthez Lawrence claimed that there was no one inside the building at the time of the incident.
Allison Bennett, co-owner of Pensacola Caskets, which is located near Advance Tax Services, is waiting to be granted permission to rejoin her business.
“They declared the building unstable from the rear,” he said. “They advised us to not return to the building until the entire building is cleared for security reasons.”
In the afternoon of Sunday, offices waste such as computers and vacuum cleaners, was scattered across the area.
“If it occurred on a weekday , and there was a person inside any of the kiosks in question, it might be very devastating,” Bennett said.
