According to the Orlando Sentinel a Florida man has been arrested after mistakenly thinking that a 66 year-old tourist suffering from Parkinson’s disease was a car thief.

Kevin Mena, 21, a native of Orlando, was charged with battery and battery aggregated charges against a person 65 or older.

Mena was allegedly seen pulling the handle of an SUV’s door from a southern Orange County shopping center on Sunday. Mena is seen pushing the victim’s head into the door via video footage. Mena, a 66 year-old South Carolina man suffering from Parkinson’s disease mistook Mena for his daughter’s vehicle. Her father was found with bloody gums near the car.

Mena claimed that he believed the victim was trying steal his jeep. He fled the scene but was quickly arrested.
