Florida man arrested after trying to drive a Hamster Ball into the Bahamas

Last weekend, a Florida man attempted to ride an inflatable balloon through the Bermuda Triangle. The man was rescued by the US Coast Guard.

According to the Washington Post newspaper, Reza Baluchi, a man, wanted to travel to the Bermuda Triangle area, starting at Pompano Beach. Baluchi was rescued by the US Coast Guard near Fort Pierce.

Captain Austin Gould of the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Miami stated that Baluchi’s adventures put lives at risk. US Coast Guard teams could spend $144,000 on Baluchi rescue.

WPLG reports that an athlete attempted to drive a vehicle he built in the water in October 2014. Security teams saved him when his GPS failed. He tried again April 13th, but it was windy.

Baluchi was sent a letter by Coast Guard teams. Baluchi was informed in a letter that “We consider you insecure about the way you travel without support ships.” Baluchi was warned that if he attempts to embark on another such adventure, he could be subject to seven years imprisonment and a $40,000 fine.

Baluchi didn’t make any statements about whether he would attempt again.
